Member contest deadline is Nov. 5
The deadline for this year’s Poetry and Flash Fiction contest for members is this Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the regular meeting.
To review the guidelines:
- No entry fee, but must be a Workshop member to participate.
– Judges and board members may not enter.
– Format: 8.5×11 paper, margins at least 1 inch; double spaced if it’s prose; 12 pt. Times New Roman
– Author’s name not to appear on the entry itself.
– Poems to fit on one or two sheets of paper in the above format.
– Flash fiction pieces not to exceed 1,000 words.
– All entries will be submitted by email as Microsoft Word documents or RTF files. Email to carolynwilliamson (-AT-) charter.net.
– Microsoft Word’s Word Count feature will be used to verify word limit is met. Title counts as part of word limit. Entries over the word limit will be disqualified.
– Deadline is midnight, Nov. 5.
– Prizes in each category (poetry, flash fiction) as follows: First place $50, second place $35, third place $20.
